The inspiration for Fran’s handknit sweaters come from the rugged landscape and tradition of the Aran Islands. Made in 100% wool which is machine washable, and 100% Donegal tweed which is handwash these sweaters are made with love and pride by women who learned the traditional stitches from their mothers and grandmothers by the fireside in their country homes.

Fran’s linen and cotton range are inspired by the beauty of the Rugged and Wild Dingle Peninsula where she lives for the past 29 years, having “migrated” from her home county of Clare.

Fran was a visiting Lecturer at Limerick College of Art and Design and is very proud when she sees her students being successful and some setting up their own business in knitwear design.

Special commissions are welcome and Fran’s range of knitwear can be seen at Eastern States Expo. Every September in West Springfield M.A. and this year she will also be showing her men’s range of knitwear and tweeds including caps, waistcoats. 2019 dates are September 13th-29th inclusive.

She also has her own Christmas Show at I.C.C. Morgan St. West Springfield, December 6-7-8 2019.
